An AI-powered Discord and Twitch community bot for conversations, games and stream moments—with context and safety treated as product work.
TRENBot is an AI-powered community bot for the places a stream community actually spends time: Discord and Twitch. It can join a conversation when asked, respond in the flow of chat, and help a live space feel more connected without turning it into a vending machine for generic AI replies.
Streaming has two rooms. One is live and loud; the other carries on after the broadcast ends. I wanted a single character, me, that could work across both without forgetting that the people on the other side are people, not just message history.
An AI community bot can become creepy or careless quickly. TRENBot has therefore been built around bounded context, exact account identity, moderation, rate limits and deliberate handling of what it learns. The job is to add character and continuity, not to make a claim on people’s private lives.
TRENBot is an active Node.js project with separate Discord and Twitch services, shared community logic and an operator dashboard. It is being refined through behaviour-focused tests and small, safety-led changes.
